Thursday evening we were contacted about a little Hispanic boy in NM. We were shocked as it has only been three weeks since the failed one in Mississippi. However, we decided if we could collect the funds, why not? Unfortunately when the mom left the hospital, they (the hospital) called an adoption agency. It was going to get very complected and not a good situation.
However, The Lord works in mysterious ways and when he closes one door he DOES open another. In the same phone call the Sisters of Saint Joseph's told us about twins. A boy and girl. the mother had been matched, but when they found out that the little girl might have Down's they decided they only wanted the healthy one. Needless to say the lawyer told them where they could go.
We didn't bat an eye. We jumped at the chance. This morning I mailed our photobook to Kansas for them to show the birthmom. As long as nothing pops up we have a match and they are due in September! Please, Please pray that this works out and that we are doubly blessed with these sweet babies!
