J catching up!
I am now pleased to report that J is standing/pulling up on his own! He has done it once or twice but he is now consistent with it. I find it interesting how A is so ahead of him in agility, but J is ahead of her on communication. I love watching them explore the world around them and interacting with each other. Not a day goes by that they do not make me smile, laugh, and thank God for being so blessed!

Home Repair
As some of you know C and I have been remodeling our kitchen. As in completely gutted. It has been an ordeal, but we do have light at the end of the tunnel. We have all of the base cabinets up and the wall cabinets on one side. The electrician is coming sometime this week hopefully as long as Issac stays out of here. We have ancient fuses in this house and need to bring them up to code for safety. The countertops should also be here in eight days. Hoping that the kitchen will be done just in time for football season! The twins are taking all of this in stride. They play in their play yard and still have the safe zone of the living room and nursery. It's a mess but I will have a new kitchen (and job!!) by the end of the month!

| A google image of the play yard! |
I was worried that when I bought the membership that it would not worth it, but we got the play yard pictured for $45 brand new in the box!! It retails for $120! That alone made this worth it. I have already put it together and the babies love it!
Uh-Oh! Jack's First Word!
Jack is a little parrot. He is good about mimicking whatever you say. However, I am pleased to report tht Jack has said his first word! What is it? Uh Oh. Yes his first word is Uh-Oh. (Thanks grandmommy...) He had been taking his bottle and when he finished dropped it and said "Uh-oh" He is so cute when he says it too because he changes octaves and everything!I love this little man!

Turning ONE!
I cannot believe that my babies are one! It has been a crazy but fun year and insane to say the least. I regret that I haven't been able to update this blog. I am going to try to post here more than on Facebook because I don't want to be one of those moms and I am afraid that I have lol.
Raising twins is definitely an adventure. I do have them on a routine, which is a life saver! They know when their schedule is off and it is not pretty. We go for their one year check up in September (they had to reschedule) and I can't wait to see how much they have gained. Abby has never liked her bottles, but we have had luck with Pedisure with whole milk. She is also doing okay on the table food, but with no teeth she can not eat as much as Jack does. And while Jack has 6 teeth now, Abby is starting to show signs of getting her bottom two teeth soon.
Abby is crawling super fast and walking a little when holding on to things. Jack is finally doing a real crawl, but not pulling up. When I stand him up he holds on to the item for dear life and will not let go.
Their birthday was such a wonderful day filled with love, family, friends and good times. We started the day with their baptism and had a nice party. It was so nice to see how loved the babies are by are extended family and friends. Thank you all for making it such a wonderful day!

6 Months Old!
The babies had a wonderful 6 month birthday. Their Pappy and Nana brought them a cake and food. They brought mom and dad pizza, chips and cokes! Grandmommy and Grandpops brought them an outfit and cupcakes and dinner for the parents. :-)
They went for their 6 month checkup today and got lots of shots (4 each) and blood work. Needless to say they are now ill and letting me know about it. Abby weights 10lb3oz and Jack is 13lb6oz. The doctor is overall pleased with their progress though a little concerned that it is slowing down already (she said it typically does at 9 months). So I am beefing up Jack's formula to a higher calorie and trying to get Abby to eat more. She showed out and ate 6 oz when we got home! Now if I can just get her to keep it up. Any tips on making a finicky eater eat? The doctor also suggested cutting Abby back to one food a day (veggie or fruit) and I can give them 2 oz of prune juice a day.
All for now, Abby is fussing...
