Both little ones had a good night. Jack did pull his iv out and had to have another one put into his little head, and his bilirubin went past 11 so they went ahead and placed him under a bililight. Otherwise he is doing great!
Dr. Hall came by and said that there was no need to talk with the specialist and we could worry about the kidney after we get home. Abby also got to come off the bililight today, but they had to fix her picc line again and keep her on her right side. She did get her first feeding today through the tube (gavange) and I was allowed to give it to her! (I wasn't suppose to but the nurse let me).
Aside from that we spent the morning a nervous wreck and holding our breath. At 1:40 they called us to the front as we meet with our lawyer and the sisters from St. Joesph's and signed our paperwork. The bm was with her lawyer and the hospital worker signing hers. We were getting nervous because it was taking so long but they had put the wrong date on her pw and had to fix it. About 3:30 Sr. Dolora came and told us we were officially parents!! We then took the good sisters back to see the babies and then Chris and I went to lunch. He did take the bm a little gift and we exchanged a couple of nice texts. She is a very special person and we could not have asked for a more perfect bm.
Jack still weighs the same and Abby gained an ounce! I also did Kangaroo Care again and the nurse laughed when she came to get her because she had snuggled down good and fussed up a storm when she took her. Jack also enjoyed his new feedings of +2 ml each feeding and was at 18ml at the 8pm feeding!
Been a wonderful day and felt so good to come back and know they are ours! God is amazing!!
